Original mk1 clio/williams parts

Hi Not sure if this has been discussed a few million times but im bored.

Are parts for the Mk1 clio/williams still available in the UK from Renault dealers, i checked out the local renault garage here and apart from being a total rip off they advised that only on order and even that is becoming a bit difficult for variuos parts.

I usually visit breakers when im in the Uk and there's plenty of mk1's for scrap near my mums place but sometimes you want/need new parts.

Only problem I've had so far is the Turbo Bracket for the exhaust. Everything else I've wanted I've been able to get within a day or two.

You might laugh schaks but thats what the centre hanging bracket is called.

The place where I used to work,seems to be able to get most stuff,I got aquiet a long list for a mate ,who was restoring a rear beam only thing not available was the "swinging arm " bushes.It depends also on the parts department ~~ Some just are not interested ~~ I am lucky,the one I use looks upon obtaining the rarer/scarcer parts as a challenge .ClioPete and 2 live also use the same dealers.
I have in the past ordered "Specialist" Rally Gp "A" parts ~~ namely rear anti roll bat ~~~ No not the bars a full width ARB

I've been quite lucky with my local dealership - others I've been to however have been more hit and miss... most items of exterior trim are still available, as are most mechanical bits. i'd say I've got 75% of what I've wanted....

Most, however, are on special order from France so you will pay heavily for them....

I too benefit from a decent parts department. They occasionally throw in some freebies or discount too if the order is big enough. Its never much, but I appreciate the gesture.
