You know whats gob smacked me....ive been stripping my zetec engine this morning,an i removed the cams and found that the pulleys on the end of the camshafts are just a push fit on
no woodruf kev or peg to stop it rotating!!........just a bloody big mushroom bolt pushed through the pulley into the end of the cam...........how strange!

Alot of manufacturers use a friction fitting for cranks/cams.
The woodroof key doesnt provide drive, it just provides location for tdc...

ye i know Stan,but you got to be thinking when your hoonin down the road...."i did torque that up right didnt i" ?
