    clios gone.. i have a new toy !

    i really fancied a change and went with my gut instinct..
    ive just picked this up








    spec is as follows

    rebuilt 1.6 gti short ratio gearbox (less than 3000 miles)
    gti6 lump rebuilt less than 3000 miles ago (167 bhp ATF std)

    Custom made downpipe
    Re-angled 306 rallye exhaust manifold
    Magnex stainless steel exhaust system
    Brand new starter motor
    13 row MOCAL oil cooler (helps keep all important oil temperatures down on track)
    Baffled sump
    Alloy oil vapour catch tank (clean, no mess solution to oil breather pipework)
    New steering rack
    New gas flowed an polished inlet manifold and exhaust manifold gaskets
    lightened fly wheel
    remapped ecu from my 306 rallye
    LUK fast road clutch
    polished throttle body


    Suspension

    Bilstein 306 GTI6 shock absorbers ,, ten times better handling than the 205 suspention
    New Group N Top Mounts
    New BBM Top Mount Bearings
    Eibach 30mm springs front, lowered torsion bar rear
    309 GTi lower wishbones (-1.5 degree negative camber)
    Polyurethane suspension bushes all round
    OMP front upper strut brace
    Brand new rear suspension bump stops fitted



    Brakes

    283mm big brake disc conversion from 206 GTi 180 (largest discs that will fit behind 15" wheels)
    206 GTi 180 brake calliper conversion
    Goodridge stainless steel braided brake hoses front and rear
    Mintex Xtreme pads
    DOT 5.1 High Temperature Brake Fluid



    Interior

    Cobra Monaco S Black Vinyl Bucket Seats (drivers side on adjustable runners, passenger seat fixed)
    Rear seats removed
    Carpet removed
    Headlining removed
    Rear doorcards removed
    New OMP 6 point roll cage with with welded in feet
    OMP 3" Webbing 4 point harnesses
    OMP suede rally steering wheel
    OMP Steering Wheel Boss
    OMP passenger foot brace
    OMP larger rally pedals (great for heel & toe and left foot braking)

    Wheels & Tyres

    Road wheels - 15" Peugeot Speedlines (Black) with Yokohama A539's (loads of tread left)
    Track wheels - 15" Peugeot Speedlines (Black with chrome lip) with 888 tyres (2 with loads of tread left 2 need replacing)


    Exterior

    Standard grey bodyshell with sunroof
    205 Auto Bonnet (with bulge)

    Recent work

    New petrol tank filler neck hose
    New windscreen (large stone cracked the original one!)
    New heater matrix




    this car is an complete f'ing animal !
    handles like a mofo too !
    sad to see the clios go.. but its time for a change..
    ill still be lurking around here.. (if im still welcome :P )

    hope to still come to lots of the meets too !

    at least its french !

    who knows.. i may be back with a clio in the future .. but for now im here to stay with a 205 ;)
    yeah ive always loved em from a young age..
    my dad loves the things along with his classic fords.. must be where i get it from..
    never had the joy of driving one until now..
    they are beautiful
    only problem is..
    aftermarket bonnet thats fitted still hasn't been sprayed.. so its matt black
    but i dunno..
    i kinda like the ratty look ;)

    those engines are so unreliable!! but when there working they are bang on!!! my gti-6 was a right beast, but i wanted a 172 back.

    also do u actually play fallout or do u just like the help chap? :D

    yeah im a bit of a xbox nerd i must say !
    haha
    although i have fallout3 on the pc too.. (more opportunity's for modding etc)
    was a huge oblivion fan too

    looks nice, always liked the 205gti's but doubt id buy one now myself

    had a lovely drive in her tonight... handles beautifully.. the turn in is epic !
    got a set of track wheels with some 888's on.. might stick em on tomorrow and go for a cheeky blast see what she can reallyyy do !
    it has a nice spec.. but has a few things i need to sort out to get her mint..
    the roofs paint has faded ever so slightly..
    the bonnet needs painting..
    a tiny bit of bubbling under the offside rear window (common on these)

    once all that is done.. its time for a set of cams..
    then we will see where to go from there !

    dizzeestuff is my new gamertag if you ever fancy a game on cod or gears ( my main played games at the mo !)
    my old gamertag got screwedd ! (had 24000 gamerscore too :()
