They may raise the bhp/ton.
With basic weight saving, 938 kg or so, and about 185 at the fly equates to 200 bhp/ton.
A lot of our cars have that or more. Would be a tight squeeze!
Remember all cars will need to be scruitineered and have all the safety kit (seats and belt in dates - FIA) approved cage, autolec and remote extinguisher pull and new extinguishers/in date.....
£1500 +
Not cheap to get a car ready to race...
Plus driver will need approved overalls / helmet / gloves / boots / licence /etc
£750 +
Aye, I know, expensive. But I know some of you are halfway there already!
On top of that there the support needed, parts (I'm sure we can organise a WC fund as a kind of sponsored car for the club), petrol, racing licence as well. Not sure what level of licence is needed yet, national B?
Yes, it will be National B that is required.Originally Posted by Wobba

To be competitive....

Dear Potential Competitors,
I’m pleased to announce that the Club MSV Race Series is now more than just a concept and we can confirm the series will take place in 2010.
Attached is the first publicly available copy of the Club MSV Race Series regulations. Whilst there are still some details which are yet to be confirmed, we do not envisage there to be any drastic changes. We are still undecided on the name but we feel that Club MSV Trackday Trophy summarises the underlying ethos of the series quite well. But we’re still open to suggestions.
The dates for the races themselves are likely to be:
Brands Hatch – 27th or 28th March
Snetterton –26th or 27th June
Cadwell Park –21st or 22nd August
Brands Hatch –23rd or 24th October
Further details regarding the pre-season trackday in February and test day in March will follow early in the new-year with the launch of the Club MSV Racing website. In the meantime I hope you all have a good Christmas (it could be an ideal opportunity to start the hunt for the ideal race car).
See you in 2010.
Kind regards,
Alex Baker
