    Friday 13th @ Oulton Park - Pics & Vids

Had a good day yesterday despite the weather trying it's best to make things interesting! We had a dry spell towards lunch time but it wasn't long enough for the track to dry out much, so it stayed pretty damp and slippery for the whole day. Superb track though, really enjoyed it and I'm back there again on Tuesday for the Renaultsport Trackday

    My car's a 172 engined Mk1 16v for those that don't know.

    Some pitlane pictures:

    And Video's:

Facing backwards with f0xy following, stick with it until the end for f0xy's spin

A few laps from the driest part of the day

Some wet laps, forward facing camera again

Rear facing (same session as before, after f0xy decided to come off)

And a few sideways and slippery bits

    C&C Welcome

nice bit of driving ,shame about the weather though .
you can actually hear it loosing traction going uphill/taking tight corners .

is that a standard 172 engine you got there , what radiator are you using ?
what are the temps like on the track ?

btw did you get my pm ?

It was breaking traction quite often in 4th gear, whether thats down to very little grip or the raw power of an F4R I don't quite know

It's a completely standard 172 engine. Custom downpipe and no cat, and a pipercross filter but that's it. It was RR'd the other week at RSTuning in Leeds (known for being low/accurate) and it made bang on 172bhp and 162lbft, so it's quite a strong engine compared to others that were there on the day. 172 radiator and 172 fitment Samco's throughout. Oil temps didnt see above 100deg all day and that's with no external cooler fitted.

    Just replied to PM now.
