    0425 Engine out & restore - Part 3

    car now back from the bodyshop... since I have spent time restoring the rack and subframe area.... nearly ready for the engine to be returned....

    Looking very nice indeed, clean up the rubbers at the back of the bay and spray them with something like autoglym rubber spray orange and white bottle, will make then shiney shiney

    Darren, how far did you go when you stripped the bay for paint? did you remove everything, brake lines the lot?

    most bits were taken off, think the brake lines remained though - they were taken of the clips, the clips taken off and the lines masked up...

    polish out the masking lines mate on the strut tops....bar that it looks great!

    Thanks for your comments guys - appreciate there is still quite a bit of detailing work to be done... engine not going back in until the end of the month so plenty of time yet....

    Nice job mate, I hope mine will look as good as this when finished. If possible can you take me pictures in the engine bay, on both corners,inner wings ( basically all areas in bay with engine out ) hopefully to help me putting my bay back together.

    If your engine is half as clean as your bay.........thatll look really sweet

    Although using your engine bay as a rubbish bin is a bit much (yes i know its your wiring)

    Reno16v - could you bee more specific in what pictures you actually want and what you want to see - I took loads as the engine was coming out so may be able to help you with those....
