old clutchcovers tend to get stiffer to,
I noticed when i drove an 02 clio theyve extended the clutch lever into the bell housing.....fulcrum point an all that balance s**t........seemed a lot lighter.
May be the way to go for those who are thighly challenged.
ps is a bitch in traffic though.
Didn't think of that! Maybe it wasn;t the clutch pedal at all, maybe it was walking around Cambridge in my stilettos for 5 hours that did it. Why just the left leg though? don't answer that!!!
soft pedal conversion way to go for southern softies
I've been reading about the conversion and it sound like a pain in the arse being that you have to get the box off to put in the different lever arm.
Wuss, do some weights ;) lol
I prefer the heavy clutch feel, makes you feel like you're actually having something to do with the actual driving, rather than piloting some airy-fairy, overly light piece of modern junk!
When i first got mi valver the clutch was really heavy and a rite biatch to press down all the time. 4 weeks later mi clutch cable snapped dunno if that wos a symptom of cable wear or not. Managed to thread new one through mi self and now its light and way better.
Worth mentioning that anyone planning to do the soft pedal conversion needs to use the 172 pivot bush along with either a volvo or a 172 release arm.
ALSO, if you do use the longer arm, you cannot use the standard airbox without some serious chopping to the cold air feed as it will not fit without fouling on the arm.
