    trouble connecting to omex via laptop

    i ordered a cable from omex a while ago to link my laptop to the omex 600 ecu, they also told me i needed another cable (usb- rs232male).

    well my problem is i carnt connect the omex with the laptop, iv got map3000 ect and the cable's anyone had any trouble with this befor? and can anyone help?

    you cant talk to the ecu or you just cant plug it in ?

    you have to be careful with whaqt adapter you buy as 99% of them in my experience dont work. i had to get an expresscard one and use that. it worked, but threw up blue screen errors constantly. so ive now bought myself a cheap laptop with rs232 to use.

    We had trouble connecting moo's saxo to the Omex, had the lead and everything. It turned out to be something called "baud rate". Go to it in the menu and change it from what it's set on to auto then it'll most likely connect alright.
