How to measure oil pressure???

Is there a way to measure the oil pressure? Only ask as I'm not sure if my oil gauge is telling porkies

I'm guessing the oil pressure sender on the back of the block is at fault because it's reading 5 bar before I even start the engine and it doesn't move at all when driving. I just want to find out if it really is at fault before I start ripping bits off to get to it

garages have them, screws into block somewhere, oil pressure warning sensor at the front is a good spot
