    snapped cambelt

    on my 1.9d ph3

    how do i find the extent of the damage? how much of a chance of bent valves is there? (could be a daft question that like)

    Have to remove the head mate. Inspect the valves and pistons.

    I was really lucky with mine, no damage! I dumped the clutch as soon as I heard the belt go and stopped it fast.

    can a compression test be done?

    if you reset the timing and put a belt on it........then it can be done

    put a new belt on, see if it runs lol, diesel's are high comp tho so unlikely
