paddle is no different to use than any other clutch, i find mine perfect, in heavy traffic i just wait till cars infront move a bit and roll in 1st, but i do that anyway

Some are quite nice, and some (depending on the clamp force of the cover usually) can be quite snappy. Paddle clutches will always have a shorter life than an organic clutch though. I'd only go for a paddle is you actually need itOriginally Posted by Coops
See Laine, this is what you get for trying to launch in 3rd at 9000rpm, whilst trying to "do" a corsa LET off the lights!!!
The Helix paddles are sprung, so they dont bite harshly like older type paddles, they feel no more harsh than a standard clutch.
They wear quicker though, alot quicker, especially with your chavvy driving Elaine.
can a organic clutch handle the torque when you use turbo.??
Depends on the diaphram/cover I guess.
I'd go for a paddle...
I think the helix ones are good for about 300lb.ft CONTINIOUS loading.
I have a Helix paddle in the rally car and its fine on the road. It must have had a couple of hundred standing start (start of a stage) and when the box was last out it wasnt even half worn... :D
