    if you pick the seal out and pack with grease its hard to get the seal back on right, so more chance of water/dirt getting in.

    i just leave as is. i use bearings everyday at work and never had any bother.

    i just find once the seals go the speed of bearing wear and collapse is increased. :(

    as for the roll pins, once cracked on me so i drilled the fecker out, but a 5mm drift/punch and big hammer usually works fine.

    Got the pin out easily

    It was a single hollow pin. Hammered a new one in, its nice and snug.
