    Hehe, no problem mate.

Many moons ago, when Clio's were just born, Renault put a new gearknob on my Raider. It's just simple glue they use on the top.

I plastered the grooved metal bit at the end of the knob with superglue then bunged it on, came off with a bit of brute force twisting! Would blu-tac hold it on enough??

High quality double-sided foam tape. Wrapped around the metal tip of the stem that comes in contact with the gear knob. Force fit the knob over the tapped tip and it won't come off for a long time.

A drop of no nails.....or any good adhesive.

Also its how you use your "nob".......do yougrip it tight or do you caress it

well personally i have a gentle and yet quite firm stroke as i row between the gears. none of this grabbing and ramming it in action.

i still havent glued it yet but i will get round to it next weekend!
