    Gear Linkage Problem

Right im having a problem getting into reverse, ive had a look under the car and found the gear linkage rod seems to be getting stuck on the flange that joins the front pipe to the cat

Also the williams has recently had a new clutch cable installed and to change gear i need to make sure the clutch pedal is pressed right down to change gear, could this be a problem with the clutch cable or maybe new clutch ?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

You can eliminate the chance of it being the clutch by trying to put it in reverse with the engine off. If it doesnt go in then id say you need to adjust the linkage.

Plus find out if it was a genuine renault cable, all non-genuine ones are shit and cause problems.

It can be a real pain resetting the gear linkage.

Check your engine mounts, especially the dogbone mount. If it gets too worn it can affect the gear selection.
