    Compensator brake line replacement

Ok finally getting round to sorting out parts that i need for installing a new brake compensator.

I have the compensator and the lines that run from the front to the back seem fine. However when removing the ones that go from the compensator to the flexi hoses they wouldn't budge. So i removed the compensator and everything just leaving the flexi hoses.

Now i need to make up the two new rear lines so question is what unions do i need?

Im buying some 3/16 cooper nickel brake pipe.

What unions do i need to go into the flexi hoses?

What unions do i need to go into the bias compensator? (There are two different sizes it seems)

yes mate most are 10/11mm metric fittings..mainly male ones..

but to on the compensate are an odd size..that i'd never seen before so i just re-used them and assemble all the fittings with red rubber grease to stop them seizing in future..

might be a renault only part....

on my compensator there were 2 different sizes, 10 and 13 i think.
so you dont mount the brakelines wrong...

Ok it looks like 3 of them are 10mm and the larger one on the compensator is either a 12 or a 13mm. Also I'm guessing the unions will need to be for 3/16inch pipe?

What thread size is needed? 1.00mm, 1.25mm etc?

    metric standard..all for 3/16 copper/nickel pipe..

I'm guessing they are all a standard metric size. I have just checked the yellow plugs on my new compensator. It say the two sizes are 10mm x 100 and 12mm x 100 so I presume that means they are 1.00mm threads.

Do you need to double flare the brake hoses whats the difference?

depends what comes off iirc..but most males are single flair i think..

difference between 1.0 and 1.25 is the thread pitch..1.0 is finer..
