    Clutch Cable...

I'm after getting a spare clutch cable and wondering if I need to buy a genuine reno one or if its ok to get a pattern part, prices and places listed below…

    Genuine Reno - £25
    Halfords - £16
Partco - £13 (however they didn’t seem to know the exact one and mentioned that they thought all the clutch cables are the same for that clio, is this true?)

    Cheers
    Danny

do a search. pattern clutch cables are weaker and will snap sooner.

The clutch cables for all Mk1 Clios are the same, and go for the Renault one, much better made.

My mate got a non Renault one and is having a nightmare - he has a valver.

Clutch is right at the bottom - too low as it doesnt disengage and re-ingage proper. Just go Renault.

Your mate needs to be careful when changing gear then as if he doesn't sort this issue out soon he will "bend" the selector forks, and it will result in a very expensive gearbox rebuild (speaking from experience).
