Just a few pics (not all taken by me!) from a glorious Sunday. Sadly my camera screwed up so I lost some pics of my car.

Met up with a bunch from Pistonheads and went on a bit of a mad drive. Gave me the chance to blow some of the cobwebs out, test the new Supersprint mid-section and bed the brakes in (i.e . set them on fire). Car felt and sounded amazing, people were impressed as was I





When we set off and got to some nice roads, I had a guy called Jon behind me in a modded R21. He had never duelled a Williams or driven one. He was impressed and congratulated us Willy drivers later in the day, as did others with aour *cough* 'enthusiastic' pace setting for the convoy. With straight line speed Jon said he struggled to keep up with 217 but he looked like was doing a good job trying, but the twistier bits were his downfall. Not much can live with the Willy on the twisties, where it's in it's element, even though I am not the best driver out there. Great fun.





This Pug was nice, and for a time was behind me in convoy whilst we got past slower traffic, after that they got left for dead. He was impressed too hehe (less so by my puffs of smoke on downshifts lol).

I thought my exhaust was loud...but when these guys fired up I was, frankly, embarrassed:









The whole thing had been orgainsed for us, hence limited first-come first-serve basis of 100 cars, the list filled within 24 hours. The Local Council had agreed to let us use one of their car parks in Lee on Solent.









Loads of cars there, friendly people, and had some nice driving too. Really pleased with the car, and it's shiny new gold booties :D

I was a bit distracted when a SUV slowed up alongside me on a roundabout with a whopping great camera protruding from it taking snaps of 217 as I made my way through traffic:

Later in the day, I got to witness some amazing skills from the Arj and his demonstration of three wheeling action in his Williams. Of course, all done within the limits of the designated speed limit and with complete consideration for other road users. Most impressive!

Next up: Brands Hatch in May with Renaultsport, where I hope my camera does not go horribly wrong again!
