    Doing Up Top Mounts

Trying to re-fit my suspension after changing me springs last week, went to shock the top mounts up with my impact wrench but they don't see to be doing up enough. Should you do these nuts up before you connect the hubs to the struts? They don't seem to want to do up any further. Seems to be quite a big gap between the bottom of the top mount and bodywork.

It could be that they are incorrectly set up.

    Are they standard struts?

Could this happen if you don't tighten up the smaller nut up properly when you compress and tighten up the spring?
