    Annoyed About This...

    Really pissed off about this..

My mongoose just sheered its-self during the last few weeks of its life on the 16v. Ended up takin it off and running the std one.

The rear mounting brackets on the backbox, one of those just sheered itself too.

    Very dissapointed with the quality.

Seems to me there aint enough brackets under a clio to make the zorst rigid enough.

Is this straight forward for a welder? Looks like it was 2 piece to start off with.

Anyone know whether mongoose come with lifetime?

I havent looked at my exhaust lateley...does that part your showin fit too the down pipe? It looks to me like a stress fracture.

could be your exhaust is to rigid, .

I noticed while under my lads r5 this afternoon you need the exhaust to flex due to the engine rocking slightly under acceleration .

    Am i right or wrong....

Its the centre section, and the bit where its snapped is at the end where the cat is. I didnt have a cat, had a replacement pipe.

The exhaust seems to me to be rigid/held on taughtness, pretty much from where the backbox is theres no brackets for the zorst to be stable/stiff and rigid. It used to rock and bang like a goodun. I think thats the problem at that end.

When it goes back on ill be fixing some sort of bracket round the centre sec, up near the cat end.

Thats partly because they have a bigger bore than most aftermarket exhaust
