    Right to repair your car

Just a heads up as it's the 1st time I've seen it.

Found this site on another forum I use http://www.r2rc.co.uk/home/content/view/27/97/

It's about some new european legislation coming in 2010 that means you can only have work carried out on your car by a manufacturers dealership

Sound like more intefering bollocks from Brussels discuss...

how could they possibly let that happen? theres no chance of it happening...

They couldn't cope for a start - they would simply not allow that many people to lose their jobs, businesses, livelihoods (sp?)...

unless they made certain chains official partners in the audi group for example...

if they did do it its simply to get older cars off the road.

    would affect your human rights

plus its not that different to now really..unless you use an approved dealer your warranty is void..guess it will be the same..

same as m.o.t's etc..as long as we are still allowed to modify...

Is it not just manufacturers limiting distribution of technical notes?

that doesnt make much sense, but reading between the lines i think they might be retracting the block exemption ruling they brought in
