Hmm, so I see you overtake a 172, then not overtake a silver 182, the Williams let you pass, and the Meg R26 was on an in lap, well done mate

LOL,, i rip them to bits on a regular bassis fella,,, the last time williams clio came to croft on mass not one of them would go on track when the BM rolled out.

As for the R26R i have seen 3 on track and have been on track in one and they where all slow compared to any half decent track car.

the williams i had to wait for to let it past and as you can see it lasted three corners and it was all over,,, on 3 wheels understeering and slow.

Bayliss for ****s sake buy a decent car and drop this french shit.

Seems to me its more the drive than the cars involved, you seem to know what your doing :D

Swap cars with one of the renaults one day and see if the outcomes the same - wouldn't suprise me if your were giving the beemer the roasting the clios got

That's a fair point Daz but as a few on here will tell you i had a brand new clio 182 for a year and followed that with a brand new clio V6.

I was quicker in the V6 than the 182 but if i use the clio 182 as an example,,, my BM is a bit lighter than a 182 because its stripped but its only 170bhp so power to weight its very similar to the 182.

Around oulton or cadwell the BM is about 6 seconds a lap quicker than the 182 and i drove both cars as hard as i could,,, so how does that fit with the clio is faster than everything mentality i see so often.

I think half the trouble these days is people are brought up on a diet of FWD cars and simply cant drive RWD,,, but for egos sake its easier to blame the RWD car than their lack of ability.

The E30 is by far the better chassis and mines 20 years old.

bayliss might remember this the car was 3 weeks old when i did this trackday so i was still trying to learn how the car would handle.

fair points, I've always wanted a red e30 m3 evo, nowhere to put it mind!

I've only driven rwd once or twice and I hadn't got a pube let alone a ball to give some sideways lol..

Empty track and a free car and I'd like to have a pop!
