    spare wheel

ive finally got my car back from the repairers. they had to replace the rear panel.

problem is, now the spare wheel has dropped down and is rattling.

ive never had to remove the wheel before - or drop it.

is there something they could have not fastened or is it easy to push back up?

other problem is that my car is low and its pissing down outside.

    all help appreciated !

    cheers

The cage hanger thread goes through the floor and comes out in the boot. There are cutouts in it that match the end of the wheel brace so you just wind it up/down using that.

schoooooool boy errors, how the fook can u know know that!

remove wheelbrace from inside the boot, then look in boot floor on drivers side near the tailgate opening, spot a part of the boot carpet that looks like a little flap, it is! lift flap to expose spare wheel cage hook lowering screw, fit none socket end of wheel brace into the socket and wind it up, done
