    Key fob battery nearly dead

    Hi...

    i have to soend about 30 seconds every time i lock or unlock my car as the battery in the key is nearly dead... can i just change the battery and itll be fine or will i have to get the key reprogrammed?


    its a 1994 1.8 16v btw...


    any help please... my car is delocked so need to get this sorted asap lol

    yeah just replace the battery

    What I'd do is get a phillips screwdriver, open it up, and have a look



    However...I can tell you they are Panasonic CR2016 3V, and you need two for full charge.

    im not beiong lazy!

    im just worried about opening it up and it not working again cos like i said its got delocked doors!

    would a Panasonic cr2032 3v battery work?

    just realised the 2032 is too big. thanks for the help...


    is there a certain time restrition about how quickly i have to put the batteries in?

    No they key fob data is 'hardwired' data, much like the BIOS on a PC.
