throttle body mod?

just thinking instead of buying a adaptor to use for the throttle body would it be possible of modding it so you can fit a silicone hose around it and tie it on? if that makes sence?
im looking at doing the scuttle mod and just thought about this if not whos the chap who does the addaptors and how much are they?

not llikely, since it needs to seal to the body, and you will have a big gap

I use a R19 TB on my clio F7P they have different airfilter connection..

dont think you get what i mean basically take the throttle body make the edges flat so you can put a cilicone hose over the hole lot and clip it on. im sure itll work if the throttle body can be cut down/trimmed.

not really the same issue, but I saw on the e-bay, some tightened and polished TB, for sale....does it have any benefit?? I will try to find some pictures

the WOT mod might make a bit of difference but as for the polishing i think not
