    Ahh right, you thought I meant that it would be £200 p/a, no. I meant £200 EXTRA per year.

    I regarded the first £200 as a sunk cost.

    sod that not paying that much in car tax! wil stick with a older low tax car lol

    the 182 is going up to £260 a year and im not reyt impressed tbh, should hopefully have a company van soon so free van/fuel lol get shot of the 182 then!

    Well, you will have a Van benefit allowance of £3,000 for the capital element and a Private Van fuel benefit of £500. However if you qualify for the use of private element then, there will be no additional charge.

    But if you don't then you will have to pay an extra £3,500 @ 20% which is £700 ......... More than your car tax

    As commuting to and from a permenant place of work doesn't consist of business mileage and unless you have to drive around a bit you may actually find claiming expenses is a better option financially.

    nah man, our company vans are totally free inc fuel, also get a free mobile, only have to pay if we want to use them for personal use which i wont as i will still have my hybrid!

    Yeh a friend of mine gets a car on such scheme and he is asked to pay for his "private use".

    His "private use" extends to filling his wife's car though, lol.

    so the stuipd costs only apply to cars from 2000 up? there others dont move? is dat right

    so ow muchh is it for my valver coz its come up in the reminder at £101.75 for 6mths

    right, so what if your car falls over 225 co2, and was registered in 02? u fall into band f?

    I dont see how this is supposed to help the enviroment? I mean, were all just gonna buy older cars with higher emissions

    They are cheaper to buy and cheaper to tax.
