    williams re-build, got a few bits left over!!!!

    Afternoon all,

    Just re-built the engine for our Clio Williams track sl*g project and as with any good project I have a couple of bits left over.

    Picture 1 is of an engine brace type thing, I remember needing to take this off to get the engine out but can’t for the life of me remember where it came from or spot any obvious home for it.

    Picture 2 is of quite a chunky plate/bracket.

    Hopefully someone will be able to offer a home/function for these items, and with any luck I won’t need to take the engine out to re-install them.

    Cheers

    @well

    Top one is the bracket for inlet manifold to alternator. As long as everything is on tight you dont need it.

    Bottom one looks like the bracket that sits with the dogbone mount underneath.

    cheers gents,

    thought the top one was for the alternator because of the bolt spacing, but like you say it doesn’t seem to be doing much if everything is bolted up tight (strange cuz its a hefty bit of metal) so thought it may be from somewhere else!

    I think your right about this one as well but what dose it connect to? engine or chassis?

    thanks again chaps

    bottom one goes from the body of the car to the subframe, should have one either side of the car.

    Nope they are both in place and aren’t quite as thick as this one!!!

    I’m positive it came from the engine or dogbone area
