No, they were not lacquered originally.

probably means an arch repair and the body shop didnt replace the stickers, they simply repainted and the lacquer has over sprayed and they kept going to tie it all in.
still at least the decals will be nice and clean! :D
I need to replace one of mine but there could be lacquer on one of them. Any ideas on what I need to do to remove it?

They're not too bad actually to remove - I took the bootlid one off without any tools just started pulling slowly and off she came - give the area a good polishing before applying any others as you may find the williams outline etched into the old paint.
Handily this gives you a good guide to put on the new one! :D
I think these are the originals. I'll put it on my list of things to do!
