Last week:

Me: Hi, i'd like to order some parts for my car
Dude: Whats it for?
Me: A clio - heres this list (hands dialogies list over)
Dude: Aahhhh...err....have these all been checked? (confused look, despite the fact they're blatantly reno codes)
Me: Yes, they're spot on...when do you think they will they be here?
Dude: Umm...next week...err...ok, i'll maybe take a photocopy and order them?
Me: Ok (hands list over)
Dude: <Grunt>

At this point he disappearred off for 10 mins so i smell a rat and seriously doubt my stuff will arrive on time...

Today (over a week later):

Me: Hi, i had some parts on order.
Dude#2: <Stares at me>
Me: Its under the name Brown??
Dude#2: OK (disappears through the back for 10 mins then returns)
Dude#2: Not all the parts are here
Me: Ok, let me see what you've got
Dude#2: <produces a printout containing 4 items!>
Me: Err...think you're missing some bits there mate - i ordered about 70 parts!
Dude#2 OK (disappears through the back and after much rustling returns with and additional list)
Me: Yes??
Dude#2: <Stares at me>
Me: So what have you got and whats missing?
Dude#2: Ummm....
Me: What has arrived and what is still to come??
Dude#2: Err...come and have a look at the computer (takes me through)
Me: You're missing so stuff there!!
Dude#2: I'll need to get the boy through...

After an extended length of time the first guy a spoke to comes through relating that'll be another week as the remaining parts are coming from France!

Now i appreciate people have got to learn but, bar one young lad, there seems to be a proportion of clowns working in this place!

Will see what happens next week anyway...

as the parts are now being manufactured in france :P

get your parts from autoparts ecosse in dundee...its a renault dealer on the kingsway.

the lads in there are well clued up...

Do they do mail order?

Had similar experience with the Aberdeen lot - bunch of young lads who have no clue about what they are actually employed for. Even after giving them the correct codes it is pot luck if you get what you want.
