    Part Cleaning

Right....I have a few things that need a good clean like a Cylinder Head, and other random engine parts.

Whats the best way to get them super clean? Other than putting them in the dishwasher?

    Thanks

    I posted a few pictures,of a "process",which uses baking soda ~~ not cheap,but very effective.

I do not know how to post links,to other threads sorry

The thread is entitled "new Green cleaning process" I posted it,last Thursday .

    Hi Rod, allow me:

The results do look good. Was it just done with a normal blast gun? I have a compressor and gun with a vacuum pickup that I currently use with aluminium oxide - can I just find somewhere to buy a load of bicarbonate of soda and try the same thing, as I've steered clear of doing the gearbox so far for the reasons you mentioned, or would I need a different tool?

As far as I was able to see ~~~ the guy sent us away for breakfast ,whilst he did it.but his equipment looked all the world to me,like a normal "blasting" unit.If you "google" SODA BLASTING,the guys website is on there, and also other suppliers of machines & materials. He works at Rudgate Business park ~~ Tockwith Nr.York

My mate was well impressed with the results, and no ingress og !harmful" grit ~~~ just a self raising gearbox ha ha.
    I hope this helps.
