    Battery runing down?

    I have left the Williams with a mechanic to try and find the cause of the battery runig down, he has been working on it for ages and cant find it as it only does it some times? just wonderind does anyone have any idea?

    On the 19 i had the problem of the battery going flat here and there.
    I traced it down to having a faulty battery x 2

    With the car off, put an ammeter on the battery in series with the negative terminal. Note the current drain (typical should be less than 0.1 amp). Replace the fuses one at a time, while reading the ammeter. The fuse that produces the biggest drop would indicate that there is a idle current drain on that circuit. With that circuit narrowed down, it should be easier for you to figure out where the short is.

    i used a company called in car electrics. they took 5 mins to diagnose the car radio as the culprit.

    best £30 i ever spent on the car.

    I had a problem like this too. After a long time breaking down my mechanic traced it to a faulty alternator that was fitted in November.
