under car leak

i hope someone can help me out, as i have had this leak for quite some time, which i thought to be the crank shaft oil seal, but i'm not so sure now and it's really beginning to p*ss me off, it doesn't seem to look like engine oil or smell like gearbox oil, so i'm not to sure, but i hope someone can shed some light onto it for me. cheers.

Mine was engine oil from the crank shaft oil seal, used to spray up on the clutch so after long periods on the motorway it wouldn't disengage properly.....but then i was doing birmingham to leeds and back each week, so long stints on the motorway

yeah, did u replace it? i put a new seal in, but it's still leaking.
