    What to get?

Im stumped as what to get next. The Williams is ok, drives well and is looking clean and tidy but im after something newer but still has the fun element.

As the mrs will use it daily for work ideally its got to do over 30mpg, so anything like a Evo is a no go.

Got a about 5k to spend i reckon, maybe 6k at the very most and newer than a 1994 Williams.

    What do we think?

yeah thought about one of those too, but for a decent one you could get a good low mileage 172.

Pug is on the list tho

My mates selling his now. Had lots of work done.

Throttle bodies, coliovers, full respray 3 months ago, w plate. 235bhp, moonstone blue.

Wont quite do 30mpg, closer to 20 lol but what fun.

Haha, yeah bit of a beast. Not quite practical. If it were me using it day to day i might have considered it.

    172 sounds good, or a 6.

    Both very nice cars.

Do people let their missus drive their willys.... :o I won't even let her sit in the driving seat...lol

Personally I'd go for a Trophy, one of the best hot hatches imo

id be tempted with a 172, you can pick up a low miler ph1 172 for about that, my 182 averages 32/33mpg on back road/stop-start driving and can easy do 38mpg+ on motorway highest ive actually seen was 45mpg lol

a 306 gt-6 would be good too although pos still abit old, unsure on year they stopped making them tbh!

For 5k you can pick up a very nice ph2 172 with low miles. All the GTI-6's tend to have done more than 100k. Bit of a pointless move when the Williams has only done 80k.

Renaults seem to offer best value for money, who said depreciation is bad. :P
