soon i'll be moving my williams into a lock up to continue work on it, but it's declared SORN, so i was wondering, is there anyway of moving the car without retaxing it for 6 months, i only need to move it 2miles max, or should i just go for it without tax? also i dont have a trailor, cheers.

No it's not - you can't even park the car on a road if it is SORNed! You can tow it on a trailer, of course, but I assume you mean on a tow rope?

Sorry, but you are not giving him the correct info. You can't leave it on the road. You can't drive it on the road. The wording of the law is that it cannot be 'used' on the road. You cannot legally tow it with a rope if it is SORNed.

If it was me I'd probably risk driving it the two miles, but that doesn't change the fact that the question asked was is it illegal, and it is, I'm afraid.
