    Williams wishbones - strange looking!

I bought a set of Williams wishbones to complete my wide track setup.
    Right: 60 01 025 842
    Left: 60 01 025 841

The wishbone with the blue cap is the Williams one - the other is from a 19 16v.
    The 19 16v part no. is 7700818053 - today replaced with 8200737112.

    well...

I did the comparison between the two because it seems like the angle of the ball joint position is very much different from each other.

Has anybody come across this "problem" before?
    Pictures?

    Michael

looks like the ball joint isnt positioned propally mate....williams also have a reinforcing plate on the top side too.

Positioning - that was my first thought as well.
But there really isn't much space for the ball joint to move in the holes.

    aarrgghhh - annoying - help!

    northy - look closer...
It does have the reinforcing plate...

    dude

i noticed my wheels are not central to the arch, they seem more pushed back. this could be the reason as i have r19 16v wishbones

In your pictures aren't you comparing the nearside wishbone with the offside wishbone? You'd want pics off offside and offside together (or n/s and n/s) to be able to see if they are actually placed differently?

    True Stevie...

The left (williams) wishbone had not arrived at the time of taking the pictures. When it did i compared it with the 19 16v one.
Unfortunately the result was the same.

Whats really strange is that the angle of the ball joint on the left vs. right williams wishbone is not the same. Really confusing.

    Will get a pic tomorrow.

Just checked my own photos. The wishbone (with the slanted ball joint) is exactly the same as the ones I had fitted on my Williams. Works perfectly fine.
