0-60mph (or 0-100km/h) with an HYbrid

    Hi Speeder´s

i am interested how fast your Clio with an 2 liter valver engine goes.

my do this in under 6 sekonds.

i dont have any cars near my home to compare...

at the strip is my time not so worse also not so good. only 14.550sec

    ---

the engine is near original. only the head is polished and planned, the rest are parts like devil manifold, 60mm exhaust system and air intake
at the moment i use an Powerchip´s ECU, before that i have tested an Gunner ECU.

result, Gunner ECU runs fast, but at high rpm too lead (all above 6400rpm)

but the fuel consumtion (so rigt?!) was very fine with ~10 liter

now i check´d the powerchips ECU, and perhaps it goes better, but not so much (anybody knows that the old Fenix 3B Ignition System is not the fastest one).

hope my english is not too wrong to understood what i mean

    greetings from Berlin
    Mik!

    ... one thing i forgot...

im interested in any information to get the car faste without changing camshaft´s

ive managed to get a 14.0 from my hybrid running a std williams engine that had a valver manifold on it at the time and was 850kg.
    0 - 62 n 5.6 secs on the road.

*nice* the valver manifold is good for engine torque but not so good for high rpm´s because the downpipe is to small with a diameter of 45mm

next planned step is do modificate the throttle body and the air intake

also i bought OZ Ultraleggera Wheels in 15" with an weigth of only 5kg each rim. I try this in Kombination with 195/45 R15 tyres
some people say it makes 0,2seconds at the strip

the weight at the moment is about 960 kg
(i search any day for bolts and parts to remove)

also some parts in fiberglass (bonnet, fenders, bumpers)
all togheter i hope to break the 900kg barrier with an origin visual effect

    so... more answers required

@mr. adam what have u change at the engine?

    greetings

yeah i agree with u the valver manifold makes good tourque lower down but after 6500 rpm its just shit so restrictive.... now i have put o na 2.0 16v megane 4-2-1 manifold and downpipe, which has increase performance noticable in the higher rpm.

breakign the 900kg barrier is easy.... change the seats... they are 35kg or so each so ure nearly there if u do that lol, take all the plastic out, rear bench, sound deadening, water soaked underfloor foam, etc... get sum seriosue weigh out.

my engine is std, i have made a grpN style skutle panel induction kit, Megane 4-2-1 manifold and DP, custom decat to fit magnex SS exhaust system, Gunner chip works fantastic on my engine it made 177bhp and 160 lbs\ft at the fly.

now i have removed my PAS should increase its power a little bit.

istill building the car atm tho. still got a bit to do!!

std seats are not 35kg's each, more like 18kg each ( 36kg the pair ) and thats leather so cloth should be abit lighter

So need to get mine on the rollers and strip if u guys are talking about that kind of stats.

I have had the head all ported polished and gas flowed high lift cams, full stainless steel exhaust including manifold with a slite twist side exit, chipped massive cone of course uprated all hoses stripped inside plus removed all bump strips and had them smoothed and last but no least carbon fibre bonnet wit a tint of blue through it.

Also lowered put it this way can only just get 2 fingers under side exit lol.

14.5 is quick for 960kgs...my old hybrid did 14.4 at a similar weight then I stripped it to the bone.....best time was 13.89@99mph which is still the time to beat for a mk1 on stnd throttle body.... My old clio in action here...

here an video of my car.

    http://www.myvideo.de/watch/3730987/...chen_1_4_Meile

perhaps, at the video i did at best time an 14.7 at the
    Race at Airport Werneuchen,
the 14.5er time was on another track "MZA Luckau"

Werneuchen was my first time on the strip, with an modified JB3 Gearbox, with really short gears and a rev limiter of 7800
(i change this to 7100rpm, because i like my engine )

aktually i drive an JB3053 Gearbox from an R19 16V with the same ratios like an Standard Williams JC5, and i dont lose so much rubber anymore
