    VTi & Jordan Civics

Anyone had a go against one of these?

A lad at work has just bought a Jordan. Lovely car must say. How do these compare to the williams?

Would've thought it would be pretty close?

The Williams is definately quicker. My mate had one and the low down torque is appalling. Off the line, if you avoid wheelspin you will pull a fair bit. When he hits v-tec you wont pull as much but over a hundred the gap will start to increase again.
    Nice looking cars though IMO.

It's all down to driver ability though at the end of the day isn't it. VTEC (Shit that's fast) needs to be revved hard and long to get the best power out of the unit just like the F7P where as the F7R is just on/off torque from the start. Spin up in first and you're dead on the line and the Honda will PWND your Renault Hybrid A$$ to 100

Doubt it, Jordons run fancy a/c and full interior, obviously being an EK they are heavier anyway, i could give him a 2 car headstart and still beat it to the finish line.

Just looked on the Parkers website for stats.

Worked out that the Civic Jordan has a power to weight of about 125 bhp / tonne, as it weighs in at a chunky 1260kg!

Have a graph for the hybrid which is 164 bhp, but not sure it was reading accurate i think - you never know though. A standard willy should have at least 150 bhp / tonne. Even a valver has around 137 bhp / tonne, so a valver should be a match at least for a VTi / Jordan.

I feel better now! Strippage to follow!
