Help ! - Only 1st & 2nd

on the way home from the g/f's this morning it was hail stoning, pulling away from the lights i wheel spun, not on purpose!

changed to second gear, then third and nothing, i only have first and second, not even reverse

whats the damage?!

should also point out that it whines at any kind of revs, so i kept it below 2.5k on the last 2 miles home, i think, though i cant quite remember to be honest, that it whines when you take it out of gear and put it in neutral, whines as its rolling, though i might be mistaken on that as i was more annoyed this morning than trying to fault find

Sounds like new box time mate, We always seem to have a series of peeps with hg or gearbox failures so watch out everyone!

pop the end cover off, check the selectors.
