    Re-Building Caliper

Has anyone here had the handbrake mechanism on the rear caliper apart and if so do you have any tips for putting it back together?

I took it apart as the handbrake wasn't working and have managed to get it working again in that it is actuating properly and will stop the disc turning, but I now need to put it back together but its a pain in the arse.

If anyone has done it how did you get the wee bit of metal that sits between the adjusting screw and the lever bit that rotates back in? I have tried compressing the adjusting screw with pliers to give enough room to get it back in but have still been unable to manage it. Any tips would be much appreciated.

    Cheers.

Good point, dont know why I didn't think of a g-clamp - as you say though there's not much for it to clamp onto . Cheers dude.
