    whats everyone use for towing

    hi all i need to get a towing vehicle,i wanted a l200 warrier/animal but they are a fortune to insure i just wondered what everyone on here uses

    I've got a Pajero for towing. Same 2.8 TD engine as the L200. It goes anywhere and always works. They can tow up to 3.5 tons but it depends on what you need it to tow. Although it does costs more to insure compared to a williams.

    I've got one of these for towing duties...



    ~300 lb/ft torque means it has no problem doing the job. It can manage 2000 kg towing weight (braked) and you can pack a lot of stuff inside as well, e.g. tools, spare wheels, etc.
    Insurance is about £300 a year fully comp. Should be even less if you go for one of the 6 cylinder models. Prob wouldn't go lower than the 528 if you are going to be towing cars around a lot though.

    ^^^^^ whats that worth. need a new car soon estate as mine approaching 190k and i,m not sure it will be worth m.o.t.ing in june..

    Not sure - had it a while now and not checked prices since buying. It came with the original owner's receipt for £54k inc. options! Reckon you could get an early example of same model/shape and lump for under £5k these days.
