    Putting torsion bar back in

I took the torrsion bar out on the hybrid earlier just to check that they weren't seized. Anyway, they came out fine but when it came to putting them back in it was being a bit of a pain in the arse.

On my old 1.4 I just set it to the height I wanted, then turned the bar one spline at a time till it popped in partly and then by raising/lowering it by 1 or 2mm it would go in the whole way easily. On the hybrid however it just doesn't seem to want to go in the whole way, it'll go in about half way but thats about it even when its adjusted by 1 or 2 mm either way. I'm pretty sure if I keep fiddling with it it'll go in fine and tbh didn't spend long trying. I just wondered if anyone has any better methods that they use for putting the bar in?
