    UPDATED progress thread...

Well, its finally in and running! has been for the last few days, but i had a minor problem in that the diff was ****ed in the meggy box! bastard! i was right pissed off! Fitted the original 1.8 one for now. Im just glad it runs...heres a few pics of the transplant:

This one shows my specially made NW-Racing rear mount (cheers Nealio!):

Heres a few of it in and fully fitted. note the megane coil-on-plug effort wouldnt accept my HT leads. never mind, looks more aggressive imo. As can be seen i fabricated my own side mount for the purpose of easy cam timing adjustment. A cover needs to be made to prevent stones/debris entering...will be adressed asap.

So wots left to do?...well, im right in the middle of sorting the map out, so that i have a 2.0 base map instead of the 1.8 job. then i can start the full detailing of the fuelling and ignition maps, and adjustment of cam timing. THEN a power run on the chassis dyno! cant wait!

There you have it...the ONLY Clio with a 2.0 Megane F7R, fully operational, running OE user programmable managment.

Only cost was bits and my own time. As for compared to willy coversion...if u could find a williams engine for £150, it would be on par..aside from the modifications ive done! There are critical differences between this engine and the other F7R (700) and the F7P, meanin gthe managment cant be directly used...you have to modify both the engine and the managment in order for it to work.

    Basic Spec:

    F7R 710 (2.0 16v)

Fully worked, big-valve head (megane head=more initial torque over willy)
    Hi-spec cams
    CATCAM pulleys
    inlet manifold matched to head
    custom side mount
    user adjustable OE ECU

Can't wait to hear further updates on this as I am going the same route. With Headwork, cams and probably SMT mapping and a custom inlet manifold.
