have yout tried it with all your blowers turned to the various positions and fan on at varying speeds? could be an air leak in the blowing channels or something trapped in it causing it to force past and resonate

yep, have had the blowers on all sorts thanks to the weather
the noise came from nowhere really, i was at the end of a 200 mile trip and it just appeared
It's not loosing any coolant
lol, this is the heater matrix. has happened on all my clios
lol thats funny as ****, never thought to take a recording of it before.
you'll notice it comes and goes depending on weather conditions as well. i never really found the fault, but im sure its the heater matrix. although im more inclined to think its on the water side rather than the air side, because it relates to revs (water pump spinning faster) and closing air vents and having the fan/temp set differently doesn't affect it.
I was going to suggest a small mouse trapped behind that dash that is particularly scared of exhaust noise....
/I'll get me coat.
should i try replacing/bleeding the coolant
or new matrix?
lol someone who has exactly the same problem as me :D mines been like it for 2 years and i havent got a clue what it is. mine starts at 2.5k revs but soon gets drounded out by exh screaming ( just read summahs post, is it really the heater matrix? mines ****ed and has been since i got the car but havent bothered changing it this could give me the push to get it done if so )
Yeah, heater matrix.
I had it in my original red 16v.
Mat.
so, new one?
i still get very good heat out of it!
