    PAS pump change

    Could anyone give me a step by step of how to change the PAS pump on a willi2? Had a look at it but there seem to be shit loads of other bits on top of it :(, any tricks as well?

    before you change it is it deff that?cos i had a prob with my pas i was about to order 1 as it appeared to be leaking but it was the high pressure pipe (meteal one)which goes in to the pump the flared end had a pin hair crack,but it sounded like my pump was nackard,but was just drawing in air.replaced the pipe and sorted

    Not 100% but all the clues seem to point towards a knacked pump, it screams like f**k, and I can hear a constant knocking sound, a bit like old tappet noise only louder. Anyhow, if I want to make sure, I'll need to whip it out.

    Engine out and do belts and water pump at the same time is easiest.

    for just the pump, headlight out, wheel off, aux belt off, alternator out, metal subframes out (inluding pump) split pump from subframes.

    Then reverse.
