    Windows LSASS.EXE Error

have this issue on my laptop after is died last week, believe its a worm or something.

all advice i can find involves fixes using a working copy of windows but as the virus affects the user log on section it wont let me actually boot up windows before it reboots itself, and its stuck in this loop now

tried using recovery console to replace the file which i did, but same error!

    ****in annoyin, anyone help out?

Windows XP SP2 all up to date

    Cheers

No good because he can't log in to install it...

Coops, sounds like the blaster worm from a few years ago. Use another PC to download the latest copy of some anti virus e.g. Norton. Burn to CD, boot from the CD on the laptop then allow it to do a system scan for you. Sorted.

Should do if you can find the ISO variant with the cd bootsector intact.

Install "Crossover Windows" on Ubuntu (or any Linux OS) and you can run most of the useful Windows application on Linux. For Windows gaming on Linux, Cedega does the the same thing. The apps run at native hardware speed, not emulated speeds.
