What the best way to do this? A new full rear panel? Anyone had it done? If so what did you pay and what were the results like?

LOL
you've seen my pics, get a genuine one and it'll be spot on.
Thought it was the last one?
I've occasionally seen them for sale. There was one on ebay just before christmas. If you wait i'm sure they'll pop up.
my passenger side one has started now.
should see it - in the space of a month its gone from wooo theres a little bubble.........jesus its spreading like a rash.
So what is the Northy approved Method? I need these sorted before the FCS
Mine looks like it has started where sealer has gone dry and cracked (allowing moisture to be held) on the inside of the rear wing and wheel arch.
So i will strip the paint off locally, and dig out the arch sealer. I'll probally have a look at the back of the panel aswell from inside see if i can see any nasties. Then it will be a good rub back to see how far the damage is into the metal. If its real crusty then it will be out with the dremel and welder.
I would do the prepairing of the primer...but would leave the top coats to a professional.
Remember its always gets into a worse condition once you start remeoving the paint...But at the min its not worth bothering about.
So for if you didnt do it yourself what would you have done? Cut in a new arch?
depends on the condition.
But in most cases -
I would get new metal let into the car locally.
Ok worst case senario, rust round the whole arch?
