    4x4 convertion

what do you think about a kangoo 4x4 gearbox to an F7P/F7R engine ?

erm, you'll need to modify the floorpan and the rear axle etc to get 4x4, won't you??

You can run a 4x4 gearbox in theory (if it fits) but you'd have to remove the propshaft to the rear and only have front wheel drive still, unless you spent ££££ or were extremely handy! lol

As for if the 'box fits, I have no idea I'm afraid lol

I know that it's a lot of work. My bigest problem is - will the gearbox fit !? I can modify an audi s3 gearbox with a flange, but there will be a lot of additional work. So if the kangoo box fit, everything else will be easy :P

So you definitely want 4 wheel drive?

    That's a project and a half...

ull need a whole new back axle and probably a different suspension setup.. suppose if you did it right though you could bin torsion bar and run independant suspension....
ull need a custom prop shaft, diff, and a transfer box...
Custom floor plan can be dun with a lump hammer hehe
Am sure av heard somewhere though that the box fits... could be mistaken? mebe try a renault brakers see if they have both boxes u can examine them both

What about the kangoo rear axle?

would be a really interesting project and has got me thinking.

How much longer is the kangoo than the clio?

probably easier to get the kangoo diff and get a custom axel built
