Clio non vent bonnet pics anyone???

Has anyone got any pictures of a valver with a normalbonnet on, one without the vent in it....

Does the vent acctually do anything or can you just use the standard one?

    Cheers Matt

i think it cools the exhaust manifold and the overall engine bay temperature so it dont boil the brake fluid but not 100% sure

You'll get a std bonnet on over the inlet without butchering the underside, the mounts need to be A1 tho.

Cooling wise, the vent will help but i don't think it'll make much difference...i'd say go for it if you need to.

The vent stops the manifold getting RED hot. After a prolonged drive at 130+ the manifold will be bright red, I won't like to drive without one.

yup, did that in my last RT

The supersprint manifold on my hybrid glowed red when it was put on.

IIRC there was an RSI posted up ages ago (may have been an ebay ad) that hillpower had rebuilt into a 16v shell...pretty sure it hada std bonnet on it and it looked pretty good.

r.e the manifold there plenty of other relatively quick hot hatches that don't have a vent so i think its safe to say you don't really need one.

172's seem to get on ok as do five turbos which argueable would get hotter anyway...
