    Interesting day.........

Well the mrs was off out all day today, so decided it was time to do some jobs on the clio that had needed doing for a while.

It was a scrappy job for all the bits. So i set off. Went to the cash machine first. Was literally 2 minutes. When i turned around, i found a copper stood by the car. He bloody booked me for parking there. Was on double yellows, but it was down a little side street, not on the main road - was not causing any obstruction. He gave me the usual shit. Nice £30 fine there for me. I went off to find his car sneakily parked around the corner - he'd obviously been waiting there for people to park there.

Anyhow, set off again to the scrappy. On the way there i had a blast with a new Astra VXR! Started off at about 4k revs in 3rd. He could not get any closer to me at all - he was definitely trying. Although i then hit the bloody limiter in 3rd! To be fair, he did have a fair bit more pull in 4th. He gave me the nod after, so was all good fun! Fair play, i thought i was gonna get a roasting - didn't expect to keep with it!

Finally got to the scrappy - still pissed at my fine. I took out a blower motor and rheostat, as mine hadn't been working for ages. I also got the surrounds for the front windows, as mine were all bubbled. Fair play, these are almost like new - sorted! Also got a few little bits, like a bulb for the clock, and 2 clutch pedal stops so i could fiddle with the soft pedal conversion. Whilst i was there, i spotted a nova. So quickly got the washer bottle off it for my induction scuttle conversion!

I got back to my unit, and fitted it all. I've now got the clutch pedal sitting right where the original goes, it's really good! The door surrounds make such a difference fair play! I also finally got round to fitting my nice blue ignition leads! Pics:

Pic of the nova washer bottle fitted. Fair play it goes in really well! Didn't take me too long to fit either - lots of cable ties! I took my old non funtioning alarm unit out, and cable tied the aux fuse box up to the loom further up the scuttle. Looks really tidy fair play.

Look at the room in there! Now all i need to do is get all the piping and throttle body adaptor, then i can do my scuttle induction kit!

Fair play, a good days work there! Shame about the ticket though :(

Pretty sure it's the shorter one mate, as it was a bit of a stretch to get it to fit on ok, as you can probably see from the pic.

Just plug either one in, put your ignition on and try your stalk, you'll soon find out which one it is!
