Imperial Blue Valver For Sale! -- Great example - £3,200ovno

    Hi all

Well the time has come, the Valver is up for sale. :( If you wish to contact me you can do so in the following ways.

    Location

North East, Gateshead, just off by the Angel of the North (A1).

    Mobile

    07960005601

I work during the week, so probably won't answer, but leave a voicemail or just text me your details and I will call you back on the evening. If it's on an evening then I will answer but no late calls please! No agencies or time wasters either please.

    Email

Please don't PM me if you are interested, my inbox won't get checked that often, instead, email me at "kholder@idnetfreemail.co.uk" and I'll try and get back in touch as I check the emails regularly. But my mobile is probably the better choice. ;)

    The Car

Ok the details of the car, well, it's a 1995 1.8 16v Clio which has had a lot of money spent on it. The mileage is ~123k miles HOWEVER this is not accurate as most parts, including the engine have all been replaced, etc etc. So the mileage is not representative of the car at all.

Since owning the car I have spent £4.5k on parts and work and whatever she's needed she has had, no cut backs. Here is a list of what I have had done since owning her for the year:-

    Garage Repairs (MOT) – 31/8/2007

    MOT
    Fixed Rear seatbelt
    Fixed Driver seat wobble
    New indicator bulbs (rear)
    New front ball joint
    New brake pipe

    £210

Hill Power Engineering Ltd – 23/7/2007

    Head rebuild inc. new lifters
    Top-end gasket set
    Injectors removed and cleaned
    New oil + filter
    Fixed Brake Bias Valve
New TPS fitted and calibrated (surprised to see she may have a hill power chip too!)

    £1,253.08

    2/6/2007

    Tracking & Alignment Check

    £21.09

    GSF Car Parts – 24/4/2007

    New windscreen wash pump
    New horn (high & low)
    New handbrake cable
    New starter motor

    £168.80

    Autostyle.co.uk – 23/4/2007

    Custom “16v” mats

    £74.95

    27/3/2007

    New NGK sparkplugs

    £11.49

    Garage Repairs - 17/2/2007

    New alternator fitted
    Oil change
    Fixed radio & speakers

    £246.75

    Renault – 20/1/2007

    New Aux. belt idle tensioner

    £180.00

    Revolution - 15/1/2007

    New front PIAA Platinum bulbs

    £48.65

    BBPT – 8/1/2007

    New water pump
    New alternator belt

    £48.65

    Revolution – 3/1/2007

    K&N Filter

    £71.99

    Auto Electrician – 22/12/2006

    Immobiliser fixed

    £64.42

    29/12/2006

New Eagle F1 tyres all around (195/45/15R)

    £182.80 (£52.21 Fitting)

    Halfords – 20/12/2006

    New windscreen wipers
New Heavy duty battery (4 year warranty)

    £94.46

    Garage Repairs - 8/12/2006

    New steering column
    New steering rack
    New track rod ends
    New front coilovers
    New drivers-side Window Regulator
Timing belt kit + Competition cambelt
    P/S Oil.

    £1,510.22

As you can see, all the major work has been done and someone will be getting a very very decent motor! The waterpump, pulleys and belts, steering column, rack, alternator, starter motor, etc etc are all new. She's got all new tyres and had a top end rebuild by the legend that is Nick at Hill Power. On the latest MOT she flew through the emissions test! :D

    Modifications

    - Cobra Cat1 Alarm + Immobiliser
    - Magnex system and de-cat
    - K&N filter with heatshield
    - Soft Pedal Conversion
    - Reconditioned gearbox (done by previous owner)
    - Uprated clutch
    - 15" OZ Alloys with Eagle F1 Tyres all round
    - Brembo Max front discs and Mintex Extreme Pads
    - Ultimate Coilovers
    - Le Mans side skirts (VERY RARE!)
    - De-locked and smoothed bonnet and boot (no wiper either)
    - Clear side repeators
    - Colour coded wing mirrors and bump strips and scuttle panel
    - Full leather interior
    - Williams blue carpet inside!
    - B&M Short Shifter
    - Custom steering wheel with blue alcantara insert
    - Pioneer sound system
    - NGK sparkplugs and Magnecore leads + recently replaced rotar and dizzy
    - New heavy duty battery
    - Silkolene Oil used

I can't think of anything else?! Lol she has had a lot done and is in great condition inside and out. Really is a lovely car and a one off too. I have a folder full to the brim of receipts going way way way back to previous owners as well so she has a full history basically.

    Bad Points

    - Small chip at bottom of front windscreen. Has been sealed by previous owner and is not a problem for visibility or MOT. Very small.

    - Slight whine from the PS Pump when on full lock. But this is common with the Mk1's and Nick mentioned it was one of the quieter one's he has heard in his time.

    - From cold she sometimes/randomly has a rough idle for a few minutes. Apparently a new Lambda will sort this but it's only a small issue for me and I've just never got round to sorting it.

That's it really. Body work is in top condition and she goes in the end of this month for the bumper to be repsrayed and the wing mirrors. No rust either!! She pulls very very well throughout the rev range and sounds fantastic.

If I have forgotten anything please ask and I will try my best to answer it for you.

Price, like I say, I think a price of £3,200 ovno is a really honest price. One off Clio and for the amount of work and time spent on her it's not your usual rubbish. She should make someone a very happy owner, and I've loved her! She's just been MOT'd but the Tax does run out end at the end of this month, so I'll only be putting 6 month's back on her.

    Many Thanks!!!!! Comments welcome!!!

    James

Cheers mate, always nice to hear a good word.

I've just decided to go for something newer tbh mate, haha something with aircon and stuff. She'll be missed though, such great little cars the Mk1's.

    Cheers.
