sorry, another question, have noticed that none of the rotary heater controls or the clock are lit at night , should they be lit and if so, how easy to replace bulbs ?

Easy replacement mate, only a few screws to undo iirc.
i was told on the williams 1 they dont light up , is this true?
No its not they should light upOriginally Posted by final abode
Clock has one bulb the heater controls have 3 pretty sure all bulbs are the same too - piece of piss to get the heater controls out though just annoying that all the stereo has to come out first to get to all the screws
had my heaters out yesterday, only 1 bulb in there (ph2 dials), you have to undo the plastic cover just below the heaters pull that up and out, then in the radio slot there are 2 small torx screws (bottom left and right) undo those and pull the whole thing up this will give you access to the 2 screws holding in the dials, undo those and pull the gagues out, then just change the bulb by hand :D
Job done put it all back, will take you about 10 mins of your time.
What size bulbs are they?
Or is it a case of driving to halfords then taking it apart in the car park so you're there ready to buy what you need? lol
er dunno, i got some of the scrappy and previously got some from renault...
ones in the dash are diff to the ones in the speed though, as the contacts are in different places, how ever the dash ones work in the speedo as they have both types of connector.
thanks for the info and the guide, looks like i was told a porkie!
unless its that all willy 1s lights have stopped workin lol. cos mine dont work either, might try this fix this weekendOriginally Posted by Ahmed Bayjoo
